Gender transition art NFTs sold for $2.16 million
Transgender artist FEWICiOUS created an NFT gallery of personal gender identity struggles
During a Christie’s auction of NFTs and physical artwork by FEWOCiOUS, the staggering amount of $2.16 million was collected, demonstrating the continuously growing popularity of blockchain art.
At only 18 years of age, FEWOCiOUS created his online art collection named “Hello, I’m Victor and this is my life”, which tells the story of the life of artist Victor Langlois. He is the youngest artist to have ever auctioned on Christie’s. The five lots showed one year of his life in Seattle, where he discovered his identity and transitioned from female to male between the ages of 14 to 18.
Victor stated that it was very important to him to bring his world closer to a wide audience, as he states many people still don’t respect the trans community.
